Lock Extender for SEGA Astro City

The 5380 locks that came standard on SEGA Aero and Astro City cabinets have non-standard shafts that hold the tangs which prohibit the use of most standard cam locks.

This adapter allows the use standard locks by increasing the length and thickness of the tang core allowing you the proper clearance and size to use genuine tangs.

The adapters thread is M7 with a pitch of 0.75mm.

Simply screw on and align the lock extender in place using a 1.5mm Allen key.

It will fit common “hachiman" style locks with a mounting length of 17.4mm (for example the First locks used for Egret 2 cabs). See second image for a technical diagram of locks that will fit.
